• Yucca Jewel - Summer plant is an evergreen perennial shrub, they do have a distinctive look too, with sword-like foliage, rosette from the base and green variegated leaves of bright green colour with finely cream-colour serrated margins. They bloom with creamy-white flowers, when kept in a position where enough full sunlight could receive, especially during mid-late summer. These plants grow till the height of 2.4m tall and its foliage reach to the length of around 76.2cm. With easy to care condition, long-lasting ability along with their attractive appearance, Yucca Elegans could be a focal point at your outdoor garden.

Yucca Jewel plants are easy to care for.

• Place them somewhere where it may get full sunlight. Water them well especially during Summer and spring season, but reduce it during winter. Give enough water to maintain moist (not soggy) soil. The soil on which they are supposed to be planted must be well-drained and maintained with pH value of 5.5 to 7.5. And are Drought tolerant once it gets mature. These plants could tolerate temperatures up to – 12 degree Celsius, but in general they perform well when kept in presence of temperature around 32 degree Celsius. And as for fertilizing, use organic fertilizer especially during Spring and Summer seasons.

It’s not a Pet-friendly plant.

• The Yucca Jewel plant got sharp and spiny nature which is enough to steer animals away. However, if they are ingested, they are moderately toxic, and would cause vomiting, mouth irritation and dizziness, etc. And urgent medical attention may require them. Therefore, it’s not safe to keep them near your children or pets.
