Thuja is an evergreen tree that is commonly known for its ornamental values.

• Their leaf oil is highly valued especially among folk medicines. They could be used in treating respiratory diseases related to bronchitis and cold sores. Thuja are mainly known for loosening phlegm and treating skin infections. They could help in boosting the immune system, increase urine flow. When applied directly to skin, then it could help to deal with joint pain, muscle pain, skin diseases, osteoarthritis and warts. They could also be treated as an insect repellent.

Thuja has commercial purposes too.
