- Travellers Palm (Ravenala Madagascariensis) are not exactly palm, but a crossover of banana tree and palm tree. They got their name due to its distinct property of collecting rainwater in its flower’s bracts which in-turn could be useful in case of any thirsty travellers for a drink! Native to the islands of Madagascar, Travellers Palm could grow up to the height of 9m to 18m, and displayed by its huge fan-like leaves and cream-white flowers that often appears year-round. They could be very easy to care for in landscape or in garden beds or in any outdoor gardening.
Travellers Palm are easy to care.
- Scientifically known as Ravenala Madagascariensis, these palm trees could thrive in full sunlight, and survive in partial shade. Water them enough to keep them moist, but not wet. Good drainage in the soil is essential here. These Palm plants can’t tolerate temperatures below (-6.67) degrees Celsius. And when it comes to feeding, use any organic fertilizers.
